This pie shop is incredible, the best I've ever had. The crust is perfectly flaky, and the fillings are full of flavor. Great variety and quality. Definitely worth trying!

Came out of the hills after a couple day backpack trip and plopped ourselves here for a fresh cooked meal that wasn't freeze dried and reheated in a bag. Yeah, we were hungry for real food, but this is good real food. Potions are very large, and while I am not sure I would want to get in a full day of skiing/biking/hiking after eating breakfast here, I could certainly see myself handing out on a sun deck like a beached walrus. If you want big portions of traditional, county style breakfast, here is your spot.

What an amazing find! The place was brimming with tourists flocking in and out and they had plenty of space. Unfortunately though, the service was slow.. maybe because they were busy for thanksgiving. Everything was super delicious and we'll definitely come back again

If you're looking for homestyle meal and decor in Mammoth, look no further than the Stove Restaurant. The place has a cottage style decor that instantly makes you feel at home. We were promptly greeted and seated. We placed our orders which were served fast. We had: Country Fried Steak and two eggs. Served with stove potatoes Breakfast Burrito: eggs, bell pepper, onions & cheddar, served with potatoes, salsa & sour cream I requested for an additional order of bacon to my burrito. We loved the food, the service and the ambiance. I'll definitely be back the next time I visit Mammoth.

We typically go to a local bakery for a quicker breakfast when we are in Mammoth because we are usually on our way to ski. We were in town for a Babymoon this time and wanted a sit-down restaurant for brunch, and everything I read online was pointing towards The Stove! I heard they do not take reservations and there's usually a wait. Figured it was worth a shot since we are still in the shoulder season before skiing starts and the town isn't too busy. We came around 10:30am on a Saturday and were seated right when we walked in! You can tell they have been in business for a long time because they operate like a well-oiled machine here. They are so well-staffed which is hard to find these days; it felt like we had several friendly staff coming around to refill coffee/water and check on us throughout our time there. The interior feels very homey and like you are at a family member's house for some traditional comfort food. They have a wide selection of brunch options to choose from. I went with the Stove Special (2 eggs with choice of meat and choice of pancake/waffle/french toast) and my husband got the country fried steak (came with 2 eggs and a biscuit). Everything we had was phenomenal! The bacon was extra crispy and I got at least 4-5 pieces. The french toast was some of the best I've had in a long time: cinnamon swirl bread, thick, soft. My husband loved his meal as well. It came with plenty of gravy and you could tell the country fried steak was hand-breaded. Even the biscuit was better than just your average biscuit! It was large, buttery, and came with such yummy jam. I noticed they had full-size pies and mini pies right when we walked in, they have some in a display case up front. So of course we had to get one of those! We went with the peach mini pie and had it for dessert later that night. It was divine--a peach filling that had real peach slices and a thick glaze plus some sugar crystals embedded in the pie crust. Prices were affordable, especially for the quality and quantity of the food you get. Food came out within about 20 minutes. Service was excellent. No wonder this place is a staple in Mammoth, especially for brunch. We will definitely be back!

The food is hearty and filling. The service is quick and friendly. The ambiance is homey and rustic with items from times of old. You come here for the pies and fried zucchini sticks. You stay for the Red Bull mimosas. Drink with caution if you plan to hit the slopes after.

I was in town for the weekend and found this place on Yelp, it was only a five minute walk from my Airbnb and was one of the few places opened at 6am! There's plenty of parking & seating. I was greeted right away and was told to sit wherever I liked. As soon I was seated, someone came by to take my drink order! I love chorizo and settled for the chorizo skillet while my friend got the prime steak hash I believe that's what it's called. Both were delicious and the customer service was impeccable! Would definitely come back the next time I'm in town!

Driven past this place many times but finally got to try it. Came for brunch around 11 am. Luckily the line was short and we got seated immediately. It's a cute little place with various breakfast and lunch choices. Got the chicken fried steak with home style potatoes. It was a decent portion for the price. The chicken fried steak was fried well and the gravy was good. Loved the crispy potatoes! My friend got a veggie omelette with gluten free bread which she enjoyed. It's nice they have tons of vegetarian and gluten free options. We would return

Pretty solid little spot we traveled up to. The wait was pretty long but that's functionally every touristy place in Mammoth. The food was all pretty good and I'd come back again. It's just really busy and *feels* busy, if I had to ding it for anything. Between 8 people and a gratuity it ended up being 302.50 for entrees, coffee, and a carafe of mimosas. Again, not bad!
